CHAPTER 1
The Siar was once just a nameless town and a peaceful forest with a large purple-leaved tree growing somewhere within it. There were no rulers, only happy villagers. Over time, more people began to gather to this land of many resources, and soon another town had to be built. Over the next few hundred years, three more towns were built and they thrived. The Siar was still small though, and completely under the radar of larger nations. Eventually, a king decided to take over. Luckily, it was a good king. His name was Teotos. King Teotos. Under the king, more people gathered to this land. Many different kinds of people gathered, like dragons, bears and exotic felines; the forest was filled with life. Then one day, one of the dragons- a young one at that- decided he didn't like the king, and he murdered him with his own claws. This dragon's name was Kaj. He had black and yellow mottled scales and sharp pink eyes; he not only had an ugly body but an ugly heart as well.
Everyone was really unsure of how to react to Kaj's sudden rise to power. They weren't sure if the king had actually been murdered or not because the information wasn't disclosed. Kaj quickly changed everything though. He controlled everyone and everything, acting more like a tyrant than a king. He didn't even try to fool them at first; he utterly proved how terrible he was. The way he enforced his terrible rule and protected himself against enemies was by killing them off. He threatened everyone, forbade them from leaving the Siar, and publicly executed villagers with strange powers called Gifts. At first, Kaj didn't know where these gifts had come from, until one fateful day. He went out into the forest and eventually discovered the Siar tree; as soon as he tried to approach it, he felt a terrible pain rack through his body, like a strange shock. After another try at getting past it, he discovered it was a magic barrier. The Tree was protecting itself against him!
Over the next fifty years, Kaj tried and tried again to destroy the tree, but he failed. Eventually, he tried something else. He forced many villagers to receive a gift and, once they had grown strong, he brought them to his side with his own hypnotizing powers. Some villagers were bad people, like Kaj, and came willingly. Kaj used these people to gain even more power against the citizens, and to devise plans to destroy the Siar Tree that threatened his kingship once and for all. Fifty years later, he was still at it, and he was finally getting closer. In the meantime, he had completely terrorized the citizens and threatened to kill them all if they ever approached the tree, as he himself prepared his gifted minions to destroy it. The Siar Tree sensed this danger. Eventually, heroes rose from the darkness of the Siar.
There were many heroes at this time, but these are the names of the heroes we still remember and speak of with honor today: Del, Ian, Mystic, Xia, Ice, Toxic Nightmare, Plott and Tenebris. These heroes each approached the great Siar tree, unafraid of the rumors that death awaited ones that got too close, unafraid of what they did not know. These young heroes each received their gifts and went through the pain we go through today, though it is said that their pain was much more severe.
It is also said that they did not receive their gifts at the same time. Del was the first, and he received the gift of electricity. Ian was second, and he received the gift of fire. Mystic was third, receiving the gift of life. Xia was the fourth; she received the gift of fire as well. Toxic Nightmare was fifth, and she received the gift of water. Plott was sixth, receiving the gift of strength. Tenebris was seventh, and he received the gift of star. Ice, last but not least, received the gift of earth. The reason that Ice received her gift so late was because she was, in fact, the youngest out of everyone. The great cloud den granted the young hybrid's wish when she was still young, and this caused Ice to age to one year, thus being allowed to receive her gift. Back then you couldn't receive your gift before or after one year, or you would perish under the wrath of the Siar tree.
After our heroes trained for a while, the Siar tree bestowed upon them its children, which were its plentiful purple leaves. These leaves left a mark on the heroes and they were annoying at first. They constantly ordered the heroes to train in order to defeat Kaj. Though, agitating as they were, our heroes slowly grew to love them. The Siar tree also bestowed upon them another gift; pudding cups. After our heroes suppressed the Beast that lived atop the canyon, they were awarded with these cups. At first, they were angry at having done so much work just for some golden pudding, but after they all ingested this pudding, they could speak to each other at any time through their thoughts. This was the magic of the Siar.
Soon, Kaj became aware of the rise of the heroes, and he was not happy. He devised many plans to conquer our heroes, such as starting a competition in the arena. After our main heroes and other heroes fought each other harshly, and Ice emerged victorious, the evil King sent down his armies to destroy the winner, and the one who had fought the winner, in order to kill off the stronger heroes first. But this failed wretchedly, for even when Ice and Del were injured, they managed to defeat the minions with the help of others.
Another time Kaj sent out an assasin, then a dragon to destroy the heroes, and then an iron golem. Once he captured Del and two others, and he gave them temporary conditions that were later healed. Del became deaf, one became blind, and the other had this terrible noise in her ears all of the time that made her scream. One time Kaj was lucky enough to capture a few of the heroes; when the rest of them came to help, Del had already been whipped viciously by one of Kaj's minions, which Del later murdered - like he had murdered his father, who had also been a minion. Another time, Kaj hypnotized Ian into attacking his friends, and even that failed. One of the worst things Kaj did was when he destroyed three of the surrounding villages with his dragon kin. Many were murdered, even with the efforts of the heroes to try and help the innocent citizens escape. Even then, Plott wished to the great cloud den for those villages to be saved, and thus, they were brought back from the rubble of destruction and repaired by the great magic of the cloud den.
This battle went on back and forth, with the heroes getting injured and beaten, but never backing down and always rising up against the wretched King Kaj. After Kaj had lost almost all of his minions, and after the heroes had formed a guild under the leadership of Del, the heroes stormed his domain and defeated him, but not without the loss of Ian, who perished under Kaj's talons, before the king's own death.
Even though the hearts of the remaining heroes were heavy with sadness, they moved the surviving citizens of the Siar to a new land, where they built up a kingdom that still stands and thrives today. The first Queen was Xia. She was strong and intelligent, fit for the role of ruler. Ice became the Baroness, and Queen Xia gave her control over a tropical patch of land which Ice named Iceland, after herself. Del became a lord, and Xia gave him control over the beach, which he named Aquanias. Xia also offered a patch of land to Mystic, but she declined. Instead, Mystic spent her days relaxing on her hammock at the beach and partying with the citizens. So in the end, Xia was left in charge of most of the land; she named her town Aronus after her father, who had had his life cut short by Kaj's reign. With three thriving towns now built up in the new land, everyone was happy.
CHAPTER 2
This happiness was short lived, however, after the wretched demon Gohma awakened. He had lived in that land for many centuries and, though this was unknown to our heroes, the demon was furious that they had made his home theirs. For many nights Gohma toyed with the Siar citizens and the heroes, coming out each night and eating or viciously murdering innocents. Our heroes tried to stop him, but they failed. Everyone was terrified, and they lived in fear of being killed by Gohma. Then, one terrible night, when the heroes were trying to stop him once and for all, a giant crack split the earth, and out came numerous little demons which swarmed the heroes. Unable to fight them all off, and since Gohma was finally using more of his true power, they failed. The sky and moon turned red and the sun disappeared. The clouds turned dark grey. The grass died, turning a terrible shade of black. The river water turned a mucky purple; anyone who tried to drink of it would perish, and any who tried to touch it would get burned instantly. Gohma then shackled everyone, including our heroes, and forced them to kill each other for his own amusement. They farmed strange crops for him as punishment, as their own friends and relatives were forced to whip them into action. Some citizens were forced to build monuments in honor of Kaj, while others were tortured. Everyone suffered constantly.
After a short while, the heroes found a way in which they could get rid of their shackles. They devised a plan, knowing that they couldn't defeat Gohma with sheer power. First, they destroyed the three black crystals which, while being Gohma's source of power, were also the cause of the great change in the land. After they were destroyed, all of the shackles disappeared, and the land returned to normal. Then, they dug a pit right in front of Gohma's domain and they used an illusion to cover it up so it wouldn't look like there was a pit there at all. They filled the bottom of it with dangerous explosives that would explode instantly, if not handled gently. These were created by Ibis, one of the more important heroes out of the ones that haven't been mentioned yet. When Gohma emerged to see why his crystals had been destroyed, he fell into the pit and was destroyed instantly. His death was sudden and violent, but it worked, and everyone was saved.
Everyone thought there would be peace, but one day Queen Xia mysteriously disappeared; Ice took the throne, and became Queen Ice. Ice was a very energetic ruler, and she had plans. Her plans were to defeat the other nations and take over their land. Del didn't like this. Despite being the fighter he was, he did not support taking the land of others. He tried to convince her to agree with his views, but Queen Ice would not comply. And so Del started a civil war in order to remove Ice from the throne. It was a bloody battle; Aquanias was ravaged, many died on Del's side, with few casualties on Queen Ice's side. In the end, Ice won, just as Del was on the verge of death. He decided that after coming so far he should not start wars with his friends, and so he surrendered.
Soon afterward, a huge storm hit the land, and it began to flood. In order to save themselves, everyone in the Siar Kingdom locked themselves up in Queen Ice's castle until it ended. When the storm finally did end, they had to rebuild everything. They used the skill Time Travel to rebuild most of the buildings, but some things couldn't be fixed, and they had to be remade from the ground up. As the remaining citizens rebuilt the kingdom, they soon realized that some of their skills and powers weren't working correctly. Some of the skills weren't even working at all. After a while, Ian's spirit informed former Lord Del (since he had lost his position for starting the civil war) that the Siar tree, as it watched over everyone from above in the afterlife, had taken away many skills and had altered a few gifts so that a terrible war like that would never happen again. Del told everyone, and they took the hint. They moved on, even without the immense power they once had.
Since Ice was Queen, she did as she had intended; she conquered many nations, further increasing the power, greatness and size of the Siar Kingdom. She also dug many small tunnels out from the Sacred Pool and built many stone fountains out of the rock that was surrounding it. Tunnels were led out of the fountains, and these tunnels were scattered about the kingdom. In that way, the Sacred Pool water could be used by citizens to receive their gift without actually making the trip to the Sacred Pool.
It is also said that the mysterious black stones that react to people who have gifts were taken directly out of the ruins of Kaj's smashed island after it fell from the sky. He had done a lot of experimenting in order to destroy the Siar tree, so it isn't a surprise that he accidentally created a stone that reacts to minions who have gifts when he was trying to create something that would kill the Tree.
CHAPTER 3
In the village of Sayu, a small community in the country of Siar, lived the descendants of the heroes that once defeated Kaj: Casium from Del, Lachlan from Plott, Stark from Ian, Sage from Toxic, Aureus from Xia, Ice II from Ice, Amaterasu from Mystic, and Heilig from Tenebris.
One hundred years had passed after the fall of Kaj and Gohma. Since then the Siar had grown immensely, from a small patch of land to a real nation. It had caught the eyes of many of the other nations that surrounded it, and even some of the countries that weren't nearby. In order to make sure this quickly growing nation didn't expand too much and threaten the control of their land, three surrounding nations formed a temporary alliance in order to conquer the Siar: Betrias, Hemick, and Kindral. The current rulers of the Siar were wary of the threat and began to gather their troops in order to fight back. They had their magic, but no idea of what offense the other nations had.
It just so happened that the little Sayu village that our descendants lived in was located right at one of the borders that separated the Siar Kingdom from the other nations. The rivals took advantage of this and sent a group of invaders into Sayu to attempt to put it under their control, but they were fended off with some effort. However there were others watching the battle, waiting to see who the winner would be in order to report back to the surrounding nations. With the increase in the danger that was closing in on Sayu village, they had little hope of survival.
After several more attacks, the population of Sayu had lowered until it was almost halved. Most of the citizens that remained had given up on fighting back; they felt hopeless and that the village wasn't worth protecting. However, more soldiers had taken their place as they strove to protect the border between the Siar Kingdom and the kingdoms that surrounded them. Then, one fateful day, help arrived to the village in the form of a group of soldiers from the Siar's capital, along with an elite group known as Troop 555. Their numbers? Only six: Nico, Shelby, Ashi, Alli, Liu, and their leader, Hitch Lune. Our descendants were drafted into the army that had developed with the help of the troop. The soldiers gained strength and moved forward, training day in and day out. Everyone in the village eventually became accustomed to the military lifestyle. There were no mishaps or complaints.
With all of the new soldiers that had moved in, everyone in the village felt more secure. Eventually, they obtained news that the Siar had allied with four other countries: Jumpr, Gimilay, Artrimus, and Kloff. With new reinforcements, the Siar decided to go on the offensive and attack Betrias. But while most of the army attacked Betrias, an army from Kindral and Hemick invaded Sayu while it was weakened and threatened to take over. With casualties on both sides, Sayu managed to succeed, and Siar had conquered Betrias.
After the news spread about the Siar's conquest, the enemy troops that were planning to take over villages like Sayu Village retreated hastily. Loosing Betrias was a big loss on their side, though Hemick and Kindral weren't going to back down. With one country conquered, the Siar turned to Hemick as their next target. This left Troop 555 and the descendants on the front lines. There were numerous casualties, but the Siar emerged victorious and Hemick overtaken. When Kindral saw that its allies were defeated, it surrendered, becoming an addition to the captured lands. With its enemies overthrown, the Siar grew further, dividing the mastered land amongst its allies.
With the war won, the soldiers returned home beaten and scarred. They had suffered a lot, with physical and mental scars that would last with them for the rest of their lives. There was still some cleaning up to do in the presence of the aftermath, but peace had been attained at last.
The Siar was once just a nameless town and a peaceful forest with a large purple-leaved tree growing somewhere within it. There were no rulers, only happy villagers.
